On March 7 2026, there will be an event at the Lilypad in Cambridge, celebrating the life and work of Alex Lemski. This will be an opportunity for Alex’s family, friends, and fellow music lovers to gather and share stories, memories, words of love, and some of the best creative music in the Boston area. The musical lineup will include Jim Hobbs’ Fully Celebrated Orchestra, Pandelis Karayorgis, The Ellwood Epps Quartet, New Language Collaborative, Stephen Haynes, Jorrit Dijkstra’s Blink, and more. Between sets we’ll be treated to selections from Alex’s expansive record collection.

Our goal is an event that Alex would love being part of, and we’re working to pay the musicians the way Alex would have. With this in mind, you’ll soon be hearing about a fundraising campaign to pay musicians and cover other costs associated with the event. Let’s be inspired by Alex’s enduring generosity when it comes time to give.
